I was born and raised in the small town of Dawson Creek, BC, Canada. When I was 17, I moved to Mexico with my parents and my sister. I love living in Mexico because the food is great, there is no snow, I live just a few blocks away from the ocean, and best of all, I met my wife here! She is also a teacher with the Sprout Program. Her name is Ana Crull, the teacher with the big smile!
In my free time I enjoy working with computers and technology, drawing, and taking photos of animals, especially spiders and insects. I am learning guitar, and also enjoy cooking. Basically, I enjoy anything that lets me be creative! And I believe creativity is a vital skill in teaching.
Because I live in Mexico, I am learning to speak Spanish, so I know what it is like to learn another language. It can be scary at first, but it doesn't have to be! I have been teaching English to children of all levels for 4 years. My goal is always to keep the lesson fun and educational. When you are smiling and having fun, it is easier to learn. I have experience using many popular teaching materials as well, such as Wonders, Treasures, and more. I also have taught classes in both one-on-one and group settings, so I know how to give the needed attention to each student so that they can all participate equally and get the most out of each class.
I look forward to meeting you and having fun with English together!
